Understanding the Data Protection Act
SUMMARY
The Data Protection Act 1998 came into force in March 99 with updates in 2002 (lasting until 2007). The legislation means that it is unlawful for any company or individual to process any form of personal data until they have notified the Information Commissioner. This course aims to provide an overview of the DPA leading to a better understanding of the act and what the legal responsibilities are for the company and its individual employees.

Anyone responsible for the handling the personal data of living individuals and/or operates CCTV systems.
